Field Service Technician – IT Managed Services
Location: Owasso, OK — onsite client travel within a 30-mile radius
Job Type: Full-Time or Part-Time (open to both)
Pay: $22–$30/hour, based on experience
About Adair Technology LLC
Adair Technology LLC provides outsourced IT support to small and midsize businesses, with a client base concentrated in manufacturing and professional services, including several law offices. We run a Microsoft-centric environment and take pride in being the IT department our clients can't afford to build in-house.
The Role
We're looking for a Field Service Technician who's comfortable both on a headset and in a client's server room. You'll handle escalated tickets from our support desk, take calls directly from clients, and travel onsite when a problem needs hands and eyes in the room. This is a client-facing role — how you carry yourself in front of a law firm partner or a plant manager matters as much as your technical ability. We're open to full-time or part-time candidates for the right fit.
What You'll Do
- Respond to and resolve tickets escalated from the support desk, as well as issues reported directly by clients
- Travel to client sites (manufacturers, law offices, and other small businesses) to diagnose and resolve hardware, network, and system issues
- Provide desktop support across Windows 10/11 environments — troubleshooting, imaging, peripheral and printer issues, application support
- Support Windows Server environments at a working level (patching, basic administration, troubleshooting) under guidance from senior engineers
- Manage user identities and access in Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) — onboarding/offboarding, group assignments, license management
- Assist with configuring and maintaining security policies, including Conditional Access, MFA enforcement, and related identity protections
- Document all work clearly in our ticketing system and keep documentation current
- Communicate professionally with clients who are often not technical, setting expectations and explaining issues in plain language
- Escalate appropriately to senior engineers when an issue exceeds your scope
What You Bring
Required:
- 2+ years of hands-on desktop support experience in a professional environment
- Solid working knowledge of Windows 10/11 troubleshooting and administration
- Working familiarity with Windows Server (installation, patching, basic troubleshooting)
- Experience with Microsoft Entra ID / Azure AD — user creation, group management, license assignment
- Understanding of Conditional Access and modern security policy concepts (MFA, device compliance basics)
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for local client travel
- Strong communication skills and comfort working directly with clients under time pressure
Preferred:
- Experience supporting law firms, manufacturers, or similar small businesses
- Some experience with Apple macOS and iOS devices is helpful but not required
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 admin center and Intune
- Networking fundamentals
- Relevant certifications (Microsoft, CompTIA A+/Network+) — nice to have, not required
After-Hours & On-Call
Occasional after-hours or on-call availability for urgent client issues is required; on-call hours are compensated.
Growth Opportunity
This is a foundational hire for our team as we grow. There's real room to expand your scope, take on more responsibility, and grow your pay as the business scales.

Preferred:
- Experience in an MSP or IT consulting environment
- Familiarity with backup/DR validation as part of migration work
- Relevant certifications (not required, but a plus)
